Everyone Loses: The Ukraine Crisis and the Ruinous Contest for Post-Soviet Eurasia

Join the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy and the Center for European and Transatlantic Studies as they host Dr. Samuel Charap, Senior Political Scientist at the RAND Corporation, and co-author of Everyone Loses.

Dr. Charap will discuss the crisis in Ukraine and how the conflict has yielded a ruinous outcome where all parties involved are worse off and international security has deteriorated. He will further discuss what is argued in the book, that all the governments involved must recognize that long-standing policies aimed at achieving one-sided advantage have reached a dead end, and commit to finding mutually acceptable alternatives through patient negotiation.

‘Charap and Colton provide a timely, thoughtful and insightful account of a complicated region during a complicated historical period. A must-read for anyone looking to navigate disorder in Eurasia and the very real risks it poses to international peace and security.’

William J. Burns, President, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and former US Deputy Secretary of State

Books will be available for purchase and signing.
