Study Abroad Faculty & Staff Training

All faculty, staff, and student assistants are required to have the approproate training each year before they can participate in a study abroad program. The Office of International Education, in collobration with the Dean of Students and Associate Vice Provost for Advocacy and Conflict Resoluation, will host trainings to prepare Georgia Tech employees before they depart on an Institute sponsored study abroad program. 

The training will cover topics related to:

  • Health and Safety Abroad
  • Student Conduct and Discplinary Procedures
  • Emergency Response Procedures
  • Expectations for Employees 
  • Georgia Tech Policies and Procedures

The training will be filmed and made available online within one week of being offered. Those unable to attend in-person may watch the training video online and sign an attestation statement. If an employee does not take the requsisite training, s/he may not participate in a study abroad program.
