About Us

The Office of Faculty Professional Development (OFPD), under the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty, was created in fall 2020. OFPD supports professional development opportunities for faculty beyond teaching by concentrating on topics like leadership, mentoring, writing, strategic planning, and project management. We offer a wide variety of programs, services, and resources to support holistic faculty professional development, including workshops, panels, new faculty orientation, training for new faculty leaders, and writing retreats.

Mission

OFPD supports the productivity, success, deep engagement in cross-disciplinary community and collaboration, and holistic well-being of Georgia Tech’s diverse faculty.
